Lavender Latte
If you’re anything like me, you appreciate the little luxuries—slow mornings, fresh flowers, and the calming scent of lavender. This lavender latte combines all of that into one beautiful, aromatic cup (or glass!) of bliss. What makes this recipe extra special is the homemade lavender syrup—delicate, floral, and so much better than store-bought.
Homemade Lavender Syrup
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons dried culinary use lavender (I used this one)
Instructions:
In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
Add in the sugar and fresh lavender.
Stir gently and let it come back to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
After simmering, turn off the heat and allow the syrup to steep for 30 minutes. This lets the lavender really infuse into the syrup.
Strain out the lavender and pour the syrup into a clean jar or bottle. Let it cool before using.
Lavender Latte (Iced or Hot!)
Ingredients:
2 shots of espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)
1½ tablespoons lavender syrup
A dash of honey (optional, but highly recommended)
Your favorite milk (I love using oat or almond—frothed/over ice if cold)
Instructions:
Brew 2 shots of espresso.
While it's hot, stir in the lavender syrup and a small dash of honey. Taste and adjust if needed!
For iced: Fill a glass with ice, pour the espresso mixture over it, then add your frothed milk.
For hot: Froth your milk and pour it gently over your espresso mixture.
