Arequipe Latte

Inspired by the creamy indulgence of Colombina Arequipe, this drink brings café-level comfort right to your kitchen. Whether you enjoy it iced on a warm day or hot and frothy in the morning, it's a simple recipe that feels like a treat every time.

Ingredients:

  • 2 shots of espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)

  • Colombina Dulce de Leche (Arequipe)

  • A dash of honey or agave (optional, but highly recommended)

  • Your favorite milk (I love using oat or almond—frothed/over ice if cold)

Instructions:

  1. Start by brewing two shots of espresso—fresh and strong is best.

  2. Warm up your Colombina Dulce de Leche (Arequipe) in the microwave for about 20–30 seconds, just enough to make it smooth and spreadable.

  3. Using a spoon, coat the inside of your glass with some of the warm dulce de leche. I used about half of a single-serve pod, but feel free to adjust based on your sweet tooth!

  4. Mix the remaining dulce de leche with your freshly brewed espresso. Add a small dash of honey for extra depth. Give it a taste—add more dulce or honey if you’d like it sweeter.

  5. For iced: Fill a glass with ice, pour the espresso mixture over it, then add your frothed milk.

  6. For hot: Froth your milk and pour it gently over your espresso mixture.

Besos, Mari
